Alissa McLarand has had a vast and impressive career working in high-level positions that took her around the world. Early in her career, Alissa utilized her degree in political science to launch a career in politics working for a congressman and a senator. Later, she was hired by the Council on Foreign Relations, where she worked directly with diplomats. Subsequently, Alissa worked as a research analyst for an industrial holding company in Manhattan and assisted one of Forbes’ top 25 wealthiest men in the world. Her position required her to travel to Russia and Washington, DC in order to serve as a liaison between powerful energy corporations. Alissa also furthered her education by completing a post-baccalaureate at Columbia University and studying finance, business, and law.
Once Alissa made the switch to real estate, she quickly began to stand out. After getting her broker’s license in 2010, Alissa assisted in the creation of VALIA Properties in Corona del Mar, a real estate company whose sales rapidly exceeded $1.5 billion. In her role there, Alissa advised clients on market conditions, mortgages, contracts, and legal matters in order to help them achieve their real estate goals.
