Surterre Property®'s Kathryn Murrel assisted in the sale of the iconic Nashville estate known as First Lady Acres located at 4121 Franklin Pike in Oak Hill, Tennessee. The illustrious property played a significant role in music history and was initially purchased by country music legend George Jones in 1974 as a gift for his wife, Tammy Wynette, the First Lady of Country. Kathryn represented Surterre Properties as the referring broker, and was very involved in the sale of Frist Lady Acres, working closely with the client from start to finish. She interviewed numerous agents within the Nashville area to represent the seller in this transaction and negotiated the price and terms of the listing agreement. The home sold within 30 days of being on the market from her client, a famous musician in the band Train, and was an all-cash transaction. The sale of the Nashville estate is one of the highest sales this year and is the highest priced sale in the neighborhood to date.

After a complete renovation by designer Cheryl Underwood, First Lady Acres boasts a bright and open California contemporary design. The spacious nine bedroom, nine-and-two-half bathroom home spans nearly 11,000 acres and is situated on over eight private acres of pristine land. The estate features open-concept living with multiple fireplaces, hardwood floors throughout, expansive windows, beautiful marble bathrooms, a stunning chef’s kitchen with a wall of accordion glass doors, butler’s pantry with an amazing wine wall, formal dining, a number of specialty rooms like a theater, steam room, exercise room, and a separate studio building with glass garage bay doors. Other incredible amenities include a pool, cabana, outdoor kitchen, putting green, and helipad. The historic property even features a storm shelter and safe room.
